The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join their team in Wingfield, South Australia. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts. This is a casual role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, with a view to permanently join the team after a three-month tenure.

The Position:
The forklift operators do not sit on a forklift all day, you are constantly on/off it. You will be required to work outside and in all weather conditions.
Our client doesn't just do pallet work, its more big and bulky products. Being competent and experienced on a range of forklifts is preferred. Experience with bigger or longer products is desirable.

Shifts: Day shift 8-hour days
Days: Monday to Friday with opportunity for overtime
Pay Rate: $31.86 hour for day shift plus penalties

Tasks
  • Loading/unloading containers
  • Loading/unloading trailers
  • Restraining loads on trailers for delivery
  • General Yard hand duties, including yard cleanliness
  
Experience
  • Reliable, positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Strong attention to details – able to read and write
  • Physically fit – ability to perform manual labour, bending, squatting, and kneeling
  • Pass drug and alcohol test
  • Experience operating forklift (2-16T)
  • Experience with load restraint (both straps and rachets and dogs and chains)
