MC Side Loader Driver – Port of Brisbane
Location: Port of Brisbane
Rate: $41.00 - $46.74/hr
Licence Required: MC (Multi Combination)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced MC Side Loader (Sidelifter) Driver for container transport work based exclusively out of the Port of Brisbane. This role involves collecting and delivering 20ft and 40ft shipping containers to and from the wharf and surrounding depots.

 
Key Responsibilities
Operate MC vehicle with sideloader trailer safely and efficiently
Load and unload 20ft & 40ft containers
Complete container movements to and from the Port of Brisbane and local depots
Conduct daily pre-start and post-trip inspections
Ensure containers are correctly positioned and secured in line with load restraint guidelines
Complete delivery paperwork, logbooks, and electronic run sheets
Comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and fatigue management requirements
Liaise with wharf staff, allocators, and customers
Report vehicle or equipment faults promptly
 
Skills & Experience Required
Valid MC Licence (essential)
Previous sideloader/container transport experience (preferred)
Experience working within port environments
Strong understanding of load restraint and container handling
Knowledge of Brisbane metro routes
Good time management and communication skills
